I think it’s time to retire the fashion rule, “No White After Labor Day”. For me, it’s sort of impossible to not wear white after Labor Day, especially while in Texas, because the weather is still well in the 90’s and it still feels like summer. And, quite frankly, I think I like white even more during the fall and winter months! So, this evening I went to meet up with my girlfriend for happy hour dinner and drinks at a restaurant called Taco Garage. We sat outside, jammed to the live band, sampled several fun tasting margaritas, and ate true Tex-Mex Mexican food.
Tex-Mex- (from Texan and Mexican) is a term describing a fusion of American cuisine and Mexican cuisine, deriving from the culinary creations of Tejanos… Tex-Mex cuisine is characterized by its heavy use of shredded cheese, meat (particularly beef and pork), beans, and spices, in addition to Mexican-style tortillas. Dishes such as Texas-style chili con carne and fajitas are all Tex-Mex inventions.
I opted to wear a casual day look, with subtle jewelry. See deets below.
